What accomplishment in your product management career has brought you the highest level of satisfaction and joy? Can you narrate why?
Building a product right from scratch and it being used by end customers has given me immense Joy. It helps me with the feeling that I could add value for users. While with fintech I developed a lot of products that helped solve customer's as well as merchant's problems.
What aspect of product management did you struggle the most with? How did you overcome it?
Aligning business with the product delivery timelines. Being data driven while negotiating has helped a lot.
What's one common myth about product management that you find common among aspiring PMs.
Myth - Without data we can build great products.
What are some common pitfalls that product managers must be aware of?
Figure out a solution that solves the end customer's problems. Ask yourself 100 times that the solution you figured out is the best for the problem at hand or not
If not product management, what career would you have picked? Are there any complimentary skillsets that you see between being a PM and your alternate choice?
I would have picked Product Analysis. Understanding the product and going into depth of various hypothesis through data analysis seems to be a complimentary skill set.
