Respect Others

The Product Folks prioritizes marginalized people’s safety over privileged people’s comfort. The following are not grounds for a complaint:

  • “Reverse”-isms, including “reverse racism,” “reverse sexism,” and “cisphobia.”
  • Reasonable communication of boundaries, such as “leave me alone,” “go away,” or “I’m not discussing this with you.”
  • Communicating in a “tone” you don’t find congenial.
  • Criticizing racist, sexist, cissexist, or otherwise oppressive behavior or assumptions.

Be Honest and Transparent

As a member of The Product Folks Community, participate authentically and do not use pseudonyms. This community thrives on open, honest, and supportive discussions among all members, including customers, partners, and developers.

No Confidential Information

Do not share confidential information. The Product Folks Community is not an appropriate forum for disclosing confidential company information.

Not a Marketing Channel

While we welcome active participation, the The Product Folks Community should not be used for blatant promotion of products or services. This helps maintain a trusted and spam-free environment.

Reporting

If you are being harassed by a member of The Product Folks community, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact us at community@theproductfolks.com. We will respond promptly and handle your incident with discretion.

Consequences

Participants asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately. If a participant engages in harassing behavior, we may take any appropriate action, up to and including expulsion from all The Product Folks community spaces and identification of the participant as a harasser to other community members or the general public.
