Business Accounts: Open a business account quickly and easily to manage your finances.

Expense Cards: Utilize cards for business purchases, track expenses, and earn rewards.

Invoice Generation: Create and send professional invoices directly from the app.

Bill Payments: Pay your bills seamlessly through the platform.

Loans: Apply for loans up to INR 10 lakh for various business needs.

QR Code Payments: Accept payments from customers using QR codes for fast and secure transactions.

These tools are designed to save time and money, enabling business owners to focus on growth and success.

Tide is also committed to supporting the broader business community in India. The company aims to onboard 1 million SMEs by the end of 2025 and empower 500,000 women entrepreneurs by 2027, providing essential digital and financial services to help businesses thrive.

Problem Statement : 

Enhancing User Experience for Tide

Objective:

Tide is building a financial services marketplace - with a primary focus on Business Loans and Loan Against Property. The goal is to design a seamless, efficient, and user-friendly journey for users from the landing page to loan disbursement. 

The emphasis is on creating an interface that:

  • Minimizes friction in the application process.
  • Reduces time-to-loan approval through an intuitive flow.
  • Encourages repeat usage and engagement with the platform.

Scope:

Participants must create a comprehensive, screen-by-screen mockup of the entire user journey. Start with landing page where there will be bunch of loan products will be available for the user to select & then go screen by screen for one of the products. 

The focus should be on Business Loans and Loan Against Property (LAP). (Choose any one)

The deliverable should be an interactive prototype (preferably in Figma) or any other format, showcasing:

  • Landing Page → Loan Selection → Eligibility Check → Credit Score Info → Offers Page → Application → Approval → Disbursement
  • You can pick any one Loan Product & craft a journey from it from the landing page.
  • Include detailed user information being captured at each point of the user journey. 
  • Landing Page should have a listing of all the products in loans.
  • Journey has to be created for any one product in loans. 

The user experience should be:

  • Simple & efficient for smooth navigation.
  • Engaging & sticky to drive repeat users.

Deliverables:

  • Interactive Mockups : 
    • A screen-by-screen prototype showing the entire user journey from landing page to loan disbursement.
  • A deep-dive analysis: 
    • Into the user flow, required information, and copy strategy, evaluating how it compares, differentiates, or aligns with top competitors. This includes identifying friction points, efficiency in form design, clarity of messaging, and conversion-optimized CTAs—pinpointing areas where the designed solution can outperform competitors, match industry best practices, or introduce innovations for a superior user experience.
  • User Flow Documentation  : 
    • A brief explanation or diagram outlining the design rationale, focusing on how the journey is optimized for ease, speed, and retention - for both common credit page, as well as for a specific loan page.
  • Points to be noted :
    • ⁠A deck (PDF) representing all the above points should be submitted.
    • ⁠Deck can contain the screenshots of your design or if it's an interactive app you can keep a link to your app
    • ⁠The priority is to create an entirely new web based journey, not influenced by existing Tide journeys in any way
    • Build the journey for a web app based workflow. (Note: If you have already built a app based workflow - that’s okay too. Focus is on UI/UX & journey for users not on which platform it is built for)
