• Lead and mentor a team of approximately 15 design professionals across China, USA, UK, and India.
• Work closely with R&D, Product Management, and Clinical teams to ensure best-in-class usability and innovation.
• Lead Design solutions for NPI development and lifecycle management, ensuring alignment with market needs and sustainability goals.
• Oversee FDA submissions and approvals for NPIs, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
• Lead User FMEA initiatives to optimize product safety and usability.
• Responsible for leading and developing a global Design team for the Emergency Care business.
• Optimize design system value by reducing complexity and promoting consistent design practices.
• Collaborate with local product teams and stakeholders to drive the adoption of the Philips Design System.
• Ensure consistent design quality execution of UI/UX across software products.
• Advocate for the end-user experience, maintaining a firm customer-first mindset.

• Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering from an accredited school in engineering/technical discipline, ideally with a postgraduate degree in relevant fields.
• 15+ years in product design and development with 5+ years’ experience in leading a multi-disciplinary team.
• Proven expertise in UI/UX design with demonstrated success in driving large-scale design initiatives.
• Experience in creating and managing scalable design systems.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements for medical devices usability (FDA guidance, IEC62366-1).
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills in matrixed organizations.
