Your Responsibilities

  • Lead the design of new consumer products, leveraging our preexisting user research and prototypes to build delightful, easy to use consumer iOS and Android apps and to build new features to deepen the value of our web apps to consumers and B2B customers.
  • Rapidly iterate on designs by collaborating with and distilling insights from end-users as well as your colleagues in engineering, product, and beyond.
  • Contribute to Forage’s design process and components building towards a design system for the future of our consumer products, upleveling the company’s approach to design and capacity to produce compelling, visually consistent, and pixel-perfect designs.
  • As the first designer on the team, help to shape the role of design at Forage, including how design influences product strategy and collaborates with product and engineering

Required Skills and Experience

  • 4 - 8 years of experience designing successful consumer software products or consumer-grade B2B products with several examples of these projects in a portfolio that you can share with us.
  • Experience building 0 to 1 products, preferably at earlier stage (approximately seed to Series B) startups.
  • Experience navigating and simplifying complex problems preferred, especially in consumer fintech and/or ecommerce.
  • Proficiency using leading design tools (e.g., Figma) and methodologies to create consistent, implementable designs and rapidly iterating upon them in collaboration with others.
